Subject: boot ok, can't login.

 I was able to boot with a loopback filesystem. Lvm is strange.

 I can seem to get past this point in the console:

 ................ 
 ................ 
 ................ 
 kjournald starting.  Commit interval 5 seconds
 EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
 VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) readonly.
 Freeing unused kernel memory: 60k freed
 Warning: unable to open an initial console.
 None of init seems to run.
