Subject: Experimental gMFSK with DominoEX now available
Date: Sun, 4 Jun 2006 01:19:08 +1000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20060603151908.GB13991@cloud.net.au> (raw)

Hi all,

I've been working on DominoEX for gMFSK. Although it hasn't had a lot of
testing it's now available in the form of a "0.7pre1.vk3sb.1" release.

Download and compile as normal from:
http://people.debian.org/~hamish/gmfsk/gmfsk-0.7pre1.vk3sb.1.tar.gz

(Diffs against the 0.7pre1 release are in the same directory.)

Test reports would be very welcome. On-air scheds would be welcome too,
though timezones and my day job might make these difficult to arrange.

As far as I know this is the first open source implementation of
DominoEX. The code is licensed under the GPL (like the rest of the
gMFSK core). Other open source projects are free to copy the code but
the GPL does not allow this code to be incorporated into closed
source programs.

Many thanks to Tomi OH2BNS for a great program in gMFSK and for the MFSK
modem on which this is based. Also to Con ZL2AFP and Murray ZL1BPU for
an interesting new mode.

Some enhancements are planned, such as FEC modes as implemented in
MultiPSK. Suggestions welcome.

73,
Hamish
