RPM packages for BitBake are provided now. You can fetch them from
http://www.openembedded.org/dl/packages/rpm/bitbake-1.6.2-1.noarch.rpm
http://www.openembedded.org/dl/packages/rpm/bitbake-1.6.2-1.src.rpm
Also openembedded-essential package was updated:
