It's based off of git://www.denx.de/git/u-boot.git. Maybe my git
ignorance is showing thorugh, but I'm not having a problem applying it:

 $ git clone git://www.denx.de/git/u-boot.git u-boot
 <snip>
 $ cd u-boot
 $ git-am /tmp/0001-ColdFire-Remove-R5200-board.patch

 Applying ColdFire: Remove R5200 board
