Now that git push updates our knowledge of the remote branch, I believe that it should also try to perform the equivalent of a: git branch -r -d origin/somebranch And to be fair, I'd also say that git fetch should complain about remote heads that match refspec that have no corresponding reference _on_ the remote so that the user knows that the branches have been removed. I wanted to write a patch about that long time ago, but my plate is already full with the diff option things. --=20 =C2=B7O=C2=B7 Pierre Habouzit =C2=B7=C2=B7O madcoder@debia= n.org OOO http://www.madism.org --6TC23+W66xmFESAX Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBHMdW9vGr7W6HudhwRAt9eAJ9ic7HUmKP8twGceMiNsgfsIz0mTwCeKe2V EDTSk2g9GsaQtl/aTcildIk= =TxjS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --6TC23+W66xmFESAX--
