Subject: [RFC][PATCH 1/4]: Factor out PTY index allocation
Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2008 21:09:46 -0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20080206050946.GA19764@us.ibm.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20080206050428.GA19461-r/Jw6+rmf7HQT0dZR+AlfA@public.gmane.org>

From: Sukadev Bhattiprolu <sukadev-r/Jw6+rmf7HQT0dZR+AlfA@public.gmane.org>
Subject: [RFC][PATCH 1/4]: Factor out PTY index allocation

Factor out the code used to allocate/free a pts index into new interfaces,
devpts_new_index() and devpts_kill_index(). This localizes the external
data structures used in managing the pts indices.

Changelog:
	- Version 0: Based on earlier versions from Serge Hallyn and
	  Matt Helsley.
