How did you invoke it?
dosemu or xdosemu
dosemu is a script that parses arguments and invocation name.
dosemu.bin is the dosemu binary.
If you look inside your /usr/bin/dosemu file, or wherever its
installed, you will see where it choses to connect to the
'Display 0:0' or not, based on how its invoked.
