Subject: + mips-use-generic-show_mem.patch added to -mm tree
Date: Tue, 22 Jul 2008 03:24:02 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <200807221024.m6MAO2Zn023104@imap1.linux-foundation.org> (raw)

The patch titled
     mips: use generic show_mem()
has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is
     mips-use-generic-show_mem.patch

Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
   a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
   b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
   c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
      reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's

*** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code ***

See http://www.zip.com.au/~akpm/linux/patches/stuff/added-to-mm.txt to find
out what to do about this

The current -mm tree may be found at http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/mmotm/

Subject: mips: use generic show_mem()
From: Johannes Weiner <hannes@saeurebad.de>

Remove arch-specific show_mem() in favor of the generic version.

This also removes the following redundant information display:

	- pages in swapcache, printed by show_swap_cache_info()

where show_mem() calls show_free_areas(), which calls
show_swap_cache_info().

And show_mem() does now actually print something on configurations
with multiple nodes.
