This is about a bug in GRUB. :-/ The only thing I said, is that it is easier for us (debian) if the bug is fixed before Bean's RAID refactoring. But the problem will still be there after that is merged. Anyway, please let's not waste time in this discussion. It's only a matter on which patch goes first.
