Your fourth patch produces a great storm of printk warnings and the
machine immediately locks up.  Setting CONFIG_RESOURCES_64BIT=y fixes
this.

How many of these damn printk warnings do I have to fix?  They're not
just cosmetic!  They are real bugs which can cause callees to read
incoming arguments from incorrect stack offsets.  Sigh.
