Actually after a fresh reboot please try to go into a TTY by pressing CTRL + ALT + F1, then log in and then follow these intstructions to ensure Network Manager and wpa_supplicant are killed: http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Documentation/Reporting_bugs Then please proceed to associate to your AP, if you need WPA or WPA2 encryption you will need to manually run wpa_supplicant. Finally ping. My hope is that since you are in a TTY you will actually see an oops. Please take a picture or write this down. In the future once the x mode stuff is moved into the kernel we should be able to get oops on the X server. For now we have to deal with this if your logs do not capture anything. Luis
