I think that all that can be said at the moment is that he will be very
sorely missed, and that he can never be truly replaced.
Whilst I didn't know Thiemo at a personal level, I always found him to
be very positive and encouraging, and his help and advice to be of great
value. His work on the MIPS target speaks for itself, and I gather that
he will be missed in many projects besides QEMU.
To answer the question, it will certainly be harder and take longer to
have patches applied until there's a maintainer, and I can't think of
anyone who is likely to take over...
