OK, now I've managed to make the device working. Some guide for others:

1. Download the linux-driver-package from http://tevii.com/support.html
2. Extract the firmware files dvb-fe-cx24116.fw and dvb-usb-s650.fw
from the fw-dir into /lib/firmware
3. Rename dvb-usb-s650.fw to dvb-usb-dw2104.fw

That's all.

Now the problems:

1. scan (dvb-utils) aborts after some scanning and complains about
invalid frontend parameters (only a subset of the channels are
therefore available in the generated channels.conf)
2. The IR works out of the box, but generates funny keystrokes (e.g. vol
up generates "d"; Maybe another keymap would help?)

Hope these problems can be fixed somehow. My system: Ubuntu 8.10,
kernel 2.6.27
