blah, this seems to be all mailman's fault.  apparently, it can only be 
changed by disabling the msg_footer/msg_header options.

i think you're interpreting the header the wrong way.  it says that denx.de 
sent out a base64 message but your mail server converted it back to 8bit for 
you.
