That was a year and a half ago, and how much has Okuji even made
postings to this mailing list lately?

Remind me what the definition of "maintainer" is?

I think the people actually doing the work of implementing things and
fixing bugs should make this decision, rather than someone who hasn't
the time to contribute in any way at all.
