Well, I'll just go grab the sources to usbmon. In the mean time, I just issued the command with a freshly compiled 2.6.31-rc7 and the problem persists: ,---- | 5581 pts/1 D+ 0:00 ./smartctl -d usbcypress -a /dev/sda `---- (And the stack traces too).
