IE fso-autorev.inc is still usefull and usually included from
local.conf.

preferred-xorg I proposed to cleanup already in 
http://patchwork.openembedded.org/patch/2262/

conf/distro/include/preferred-xorg-versions-live.inc is only one I
maintain up-to-date with my xorg bumps (and can be usefull if you want
latest xorg stuff from local.conf while your distro includes ie X11R7.5
and you want to overwritte it with latest).

No strong opinion about other .inc.
