Its filename is mmc-make-id-freq-configurable.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** See http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/stuff/added-to-mm.txt to find out what to do about this The current -mm tree may be found at http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/mmotm/ ------------------------------------------------------ Subject: mmc: make ID freq configurable From: Hein Tibosch In the latest releases of the mmc driver, the freq during initialization is set to a fixed 400 Khz. This was reportedly too fast for several users. As there doesn't seem to be an ideal frequency which-works-for-all, Pierre suggested to let the driver try several frequencies. This patch implements that idea. It will try mmc-initialization using several frequencies from an array 400, 300, 200 and 100. In case SDIO is broken, it'll still try to detect SDMEM, also at different freqs.
