I played with HF packet bulletin boards ten years ago using soundmodem. At
first it didn't appear to work but I discovered that with very careful tuning
soundmodem does in fact transmit and receive at 300 baud.
More recently I have also played with HF APRS on 21MHz and again no problems,
except for very careful tuning. So John, soundmodem does work correctly at 300
baud.
