Subject: + sys_swapon-call-swap_cgroup_swapon-earlier.patch added to -mm tree
Date: Mon, 07 Mar 2011 14:10:22 -0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <201103072210.p27MAMML030031@imap1.linux-foundation.org> (raw)

The patch titled
     sys_swapon: call swap_cgroup_swapon() earlier
has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is
     sys_swapon-call-swap_cgroup_swapon-earlier.patch

Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
   a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
   b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
   c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
      reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's

Subject: sys_swapon: call swap_cgroup_swapon() earlier
From: Cesar Eduardo Barros <cesarb@cesarb.net>

The call to swap_cgroup_swapon is in the middle of loading the swap map
and extents. As it only does memory allocation and does not depend on
the swapfile layout (map/extents), it can be called earlier (or later).

Move it to just after the allocation of swap_map, since it is
conceptually similar (allocates a map).
