Hi all,
I have met a difficult when I have installed ubuntu on qemu.
My physical meachine is 8 cores.
Version of my qemu:
QEMU PC emulator version 0.12.5 (qemu-kvm-0.12.5), Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Fabrice Bellard
I use the following cmd to install ubuntu10.10 on qemu
qemu-img create -f qcow ubuntu.img 6G
qemu -m 1100 -hda ubuntu.img -cdrom ubuntu-10.10-server-i386.iso -boot d
Then if I type
qemu -smp 1 ubuntu.img
the OS can start normally
But if I type
qemu -smp 2 ubuntu.img
the OS can reach grub(select OS), but then I can't reach the "logon:", It appeared that It got in a dead circle.
When I tried to set the value of option "-smp" more than 1, The guest OS will get dead.
Any can help? Thank you very much!
BestWishes
