Ok, on a Sandybridge machine I also need the settings of all the i915 module options, i.e. cd /sys/module/i915/parameters grep .* * You're running with rc6 enabled, can you check whether the bug goes away when rc6 is disabled. You're also running with VT-d/dmar enabled, can you disable that, too (leave rc6 enabled for that) either in the bios or with intel_iommu=off and check whether that might help.
