Grab the latests version from
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/fs/xfs/xfsprogs-dev.git, and run it in
verbose mode (xfs_repair -v).

I suspect you actually have a a volume that doesn't resemble a
filesystem anymore and it's looking for a superblock but can't find it.
