[2.] My setup is a Lenovo Thinkpad E525, AMD A8-3500m/Radeon 6620G Llano
series APU.  I am running Ubuntu 12.04, but with a mainline 3.6 kernel
(although this bug occurs in previous kernel version including the
stock Ubuntu 12.04 kernel). I can suspend and resume however when I
resume the screen stays black. It looks like the backlight isn't coming
on, but it's notable that I don't see anything on my external screen
either. I can see consoles on my external monitor (over HDMI) if I
switch using Ctrl-Alt-FnKey combos.
