When loading the powernow-k7 module I get the message:
43 PST Tables found ...
No PST Table that maches this CPUID
or something the like
(cpufreq also doesn't work)

You might want to try the powernow-k7 module of the cpufreq project
[it's is in 2.6.x kernels]
