Correction: rt286 was first merged into the mainline kernel since
v3.17-rc1, thus this patch should be only applied againist Linux 4.1,
4.4, 4.9 and 4.11.
I apologize for your time. This problem had been here for a long time
and I almost forgot the time it introduced into the kernel...
