Subject: [PATCH 3.18 14/16] pnfs/blocklayout: require 64-bit sector_t
Date: Mon, 14 Aug 2017 18:18:23 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20170815011733.972333971@linuxfoundation.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20170815011733.115636913@linuxfoundation.org>

3.18-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

From: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>

commit 8a9d6e964d318533ba3d2901ce153ba317c99a89 upstream.

The blocklayout code does not compile cleanly for a 32-bit sector_t,
and also has no reliable checks for devices sizes, which makes it
unsafe to use with a kernel that doesn't support large block devices.

Reported-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
