I've just verified that my test board power consumption goes
back to normal after rmmod ehci-omap with v4.15.
For ehci PM, it might be a bit easier to do nowadays that
we have Linux generic wakeirq support if somebody wants to
take a look at it. The PHY lines could have wakeirq events
enabled for the pads, and there is an older series from
Rogeq that does not use wakeirqs at:
