I think the list was established in February 2007.

I am looking at my personal archives, and the first message to the list
that I find, besides a couple of test messages that I sent in February
2007, was sent Mon, 26 Mar 2007 21:35:24 +1200 by Scott Raynel.  So
if you have a record as far back as that, then your records may be as
complete as mine.

I am running a more exhaustive search that may turn up a few more
messages.
