From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo Subject: [PATCH 01/25] perf tests arm64: Compile tests unconditionally Date: Fri, 21 Jun 2019 14:38:07 -0300 Message-ID: <20190621173831.13780-2-acme@kernel.org> References: <20190621173831.13780-1-acme@kernel.org> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Return-path: In-Reply-To: <20190621173831.13780-1-acme@kernel.org> List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Sender: "linux-arm-kernel" Errors-To: linux-arm-kernel-bounces+linux-arm-kernel=m.gmane.org@lists.infradead.org To: Ingo Molnar , Thomas Gleixner Cc: Mark Rutland , Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo , Clark Williams , Catalin Marinas , Will Deacon , linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org, linux-perf-users@vger.kernel.org, Peter Zijlstra , Raphael Gault , Jiri Olsa , Namhyung Kim , linux-arm-kernel@lists.infradead.org List-Id: linux-perf-users.vger.kernel.org From: Raphael Gault In order to subsequently add more tests for the arm64 architecture we compile the tests target for arm64 systematically. Further explanation provided by Mark Rutland: Given prior questions regarding this commit, it's probably worth spelling things out more explicitly, e.g. Currently we only build the arm64/tests directory if CONFIG_DWARF_UNWIND is selected, which is fine as the only test we have is arm64/tests/dwarf-unwind.o. So that we can add more tests to the test directory, let's unconditionally build the directory, but conditionally build dwarf-unwind.o depending on CONFIG_DWARF_UNWIND. There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.
