Subject: [merged mm-stable] initmm-move-mm_init-to-mm-mm_initc-and-rename-it-to-mm_core_init.patch removed from -mm tree
Date: Wed, 05 Apr 2023 19:45:15 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20230406024515.CF0AFC433D2@smtp.kernel.org> (raw)

The quilt patch titled
Subject: init,mm: move mm_init() to mm/mm_init.c and rename it to mm_core_init()
has been removed from the -mm tree. Its filename was
     initmm-move-mm_init-to-mm-mm_initc-and-rename-it-to-mm_core_init.patch

This patch was dropped because it was merged into the mm-stable branch
of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm

Subject: init,mm: move mm_init() to mm/mm_init.c and rename it to mm_core_init()
Date: Tue, 21 Mar 2023 19:05:06 +0200

Make mm_init() a part of mm/ codebase. mm_core_init() better describes
what the function does and does not clash with mm_init() in kernel/fork.c
