Actually, you had forgotten to remove the no longer relevant entry in
.checkpackageignore, so I did that.

FYI, at https://paste.ack.tf/e0a06d you can find a script (from Yann
E. Morin), which you can put as a post-commit and post-applypatch hook
in your Buildroot git repo, it will run some checks everytime you commit
something. Super handy!
