I just tried reverting only the changes to nf_conntrack_core.c and the hang no longer occurs. This is on top of 6.16. > Is this x86? Yes, it's an Intel x86_64 Gentoo desktop and virtualization host. But kernel sources directly from git.kernel.org (I don't run the distribution's kernel sources -- I'm skeptical of the "value add").
