Subject: [PATCH 6.12 3/8] crypto: algif_aead - Revert to operating out-of-place
Date: Wed, 29 Apr 2026 23:06:57 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20260430060702.110091-4-ebiggers@kernel.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20260430060702.110091-1-ebiggers@kernel.org>

From: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>

commit a664bf3d603dc3bdcf9ae47cc21e0daec706d7a5 upstream.

This mostly reverts commit 72548b093ee3 except for the copying of
the associated data.

There is no benefit in operating in-place in algif_aead since the
source and destination come from different mappings. Get rid of
all the complexity added for in-place operation and just copy the
AD directly.

Fixes: 72548b093ee3 ("crypto: algif_aead - copy AAD from src to dst")
