This breaks pin direction locking and can allow userspace or another driver to reconfigure an active IRQ pin as an output The Linux kernel CVE team has assigned CVE-2026-90258 to this issue. Affected and fixed versions =========================== Issue introduced in 6.13 with commit 1c8ace2d0725c1c8d5012f8a56c5fb31805aad27 and fixed in 6.18.52 with commit fda7350f257e59eee1bc7537c202e36bd56aea97 Issue introduced in 6.13 with commit 1c8ace2d0725c1c8d5012f8a56c5fb31805aad27 and fixed in 7.2.6 with commit 2c968c11592b478af4fbcb9453a0e1ac664c2e90 Issue introduced in 6.13 with commit 1c8ace2d0725c1c8d5012f8a56c5fb31805aad27 and fixed in 7.3-rc1 with commit a02fa031b9520e46e98bff17e12b472eba770670 Please see https://www.kernel.org for a full list of currently supported kernel versions by the kernel community. Unaffected versions might change over time as fixes are backported to older supported kernel versions. The official CVE entry at https://cve.org/CVERecord/?id=CVE-2026-90258 will be updated if fixes are backported, please check that for the most up to date information about this issue. Affected files ============== The file(s) affected by this issue are: drivers/pinctrl/airoha/pinctrl-airoha.c Mitigation ========== The Linux kernel CVE team recommends that you update to the latest stable kernel version for this, and many other bugfixes. Individual changes are never tested alone, but rather are part of a larger kernel release. Cherry-picking individual commits is not recommended or supported by the Linux kernel community at all. If however, updating to the latest release is impossible, the individual changes to resolve this issue can be found at these commits: https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/fda7350f257e59eee1bc7537c202e36bd56aea97 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2c968c11592b478af4fbcb9453a0e1ac664c2e90 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a02fa031b9520e46e98bff17e12b472eba770670
