Date: Tue, 06 Oct 2026 19:05:16 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261007020517.12FD11F0089B@smtp.kernel.org> (raw)

The quilt patch titled
Subject: panic: flatten nmi_panic control flow
has been removed from the -mm tree. Its filename was
     panic-flatten-nmi_panic-control-flow.patch

This patch was dropped because it was merged into the mm-nonmm-stable branch
of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm

panic() is __noreturn, so the else after panic_try_start() is dead. Drop
it so the force_cpu path can be added cleanly on top.
