Date: Thu, 29 Oct 2026 21:08:35 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261030040836.191E91F000C1@smtp.kernel.org> (raw)
The patch titled
Subject: ocfs2: replace ocfs2-specific inode flags with generic ones
has been added to the -mm mm-nonmm-unstable branch. Its filename is
ocfs2-replace-ocfs2-specific-inode-flags-with-generic-ones.patch
This patch will shortly appear at
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/25-new.git/tree/patches/ocfs2-replace-ocfs2-specific-inode-flags-with-generic-ones.patch
This patch will later appear in the mm-nonmm-unstable branch at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm
Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's
*** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code ***
The -mm tree is included into linux-next via various
branches at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm
and is updated there most days

Subject: ocfs2: replace ocfs2-specific inode flags with generic ones
Date: Thu, 22 Oct 2026 15:04:57 +0200
The ocfs2 inode flag macros are alias definitions for the generic fs
flags. Remove these redundant macros, most of which are anyway unused,
and use the generic flags directly.
