This happens with both mplayer and vlc. My soundcard is an Audigy 1 (SB0090). I'm running a 64-bit kernel with 32-bit userspace. I've tried libs and modules from CVS two days ago with no success. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bambam - 03-18-06 14:44 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking at the code of mplayer in libao2/ao_alsa.c, stop_threshold is indeed set to boundary size, so snd_pcm_writei shouldn't ever return EPIPE. But for some reason it does and this affects not only mplayer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tiwai - 03-20-06 12:25 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I fixed a missing opening mode restoration in hw plug on CVS tree right now, which might be related with this problem. Please try the CVS version later.
