Summary: Alsa mixer lack of some functions
Description:
Is it possible to add to the alsa-mixer the possibility to change these
things:
- dolby surround configurations: 2.0, 2.1, 4.0, 4.1, 5.1, 7.1 and the
possibility to duplicate front sound to the rear speakers.
- modify high and basses
best things is changes are immediatelly available without relogging.
These feature are missing to linux community that have always to trouble
with configuration files.
thanx for attention
Marco

What is the model of your card ? lspci -vn
It seem that not all features are implemented/available in some of the
model.
Refer to the comment in the source code
For capture from Mic in or Line in.
Digital/Analog ( switch must be in Analog mode for CAPTURE. )
Do you find this switch in kmix ?

I don't have this card and the driver seem still in development.
The driver seem to forget to initialise the hardware to the default value
of the enumerated control for some of the card. After the driver is
initialised, alsactl restore will not write the corresponding hardware
register when the restored value is same as the default value of the
enumerated control.
This means that you may need to switch the 'Capture Source' or 'Shared
Line in/Mic out' to another value and back to the value you wanted once to
ensure the value is write to the hardware register
