I know that currently heavy modifications are done by Linus et al. but anyway I guess _many_ people would appreciate to have this feature into the kernel. LVM helps a lot (and the _also nice_ raw dev from Stephen) to get Linux into corporate world since those features strengthen the Linux database position. So, please please please convince Linus ;-) Cheers Marcus Heinz Mauelshagen wrote: > > Hi all. > > Because Marcus Ruehmann brought it up on this list i've send the LVM kernel > patch for 2.3.x to Alan Cox asking him to help us to bring it into > the mainstream 2.3.x kernel. > > A couple of weeks ago i've already send it to Linus, didn't get an answer, > resent it again 2 weeks ago, didn't get an answer so far 8*( > > We all know he's busy, busy, busy... > > To hit our target as fast as possible i hereby ask everybody to > share his/her ideas to help getting LVM into the mainstream kernel. > > Maybe somebody has the right budy to achieve it... > > So, please go ahead. > > Thank you very much! > > Heinz > -- > > =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- > > Systemmanagement C/S Deutsche Telekom AG > Entwicklungszentrum Darmstadt > Heinz Mauelshagen Otto-Roehm-Strasse 71c > Senior Systems Engineer Postfach 10 05 41 > 64205 Darmstadt > mge@ez-darmstadt.telekom.de Germany > +49 6151 886-425 > FAX-386 > =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
