The community as a whole wastes *WAY TO MUCH TIME* worrying about microsoft. How about instead of making Exim not talk to exchange servers you do somthing usefull, like fix bugs in code? Or instead of inspecting mail headers to see if somebody is using Outlook or Eudora or some windows client you do somthing that benefits and helps the community. What do you mean by Linux community isn't #1? Because it's not cool? Because it doesn't rule? Noooo, because it worries about M$.... Now, have you EVER programmed in Windows? Well, if you say that you did and it was GOLD GREAT then you surely deserve a medal for bravery, courage and outstanding. And I am referring only and exclusively to Windows and what I know about it from my own experience... On what concerns the reaction of other programmers from OTHER OSes, then it is perfectly natural that, their _very_natural_ reaction to Windows would be like running from the Plague. Because there is no portability, no documentation (don't tell me about M$ Rosetta plates), and no guarantees that tomorrow your program will not be stopped by another "feature" introduced by another :"smart" programmer at Redmond. The only way to overcome this is to live Windows, write in VB/ActiveX/C#/SOAP(-opera?) and wait for your early retirement due to growing debilism... On what concerns helping the community by looking at Outlook headers... Why we should worry about them? Because M$ decided to add so many features to E-mail that today we are plagued by users, the police forces and the Pope to fight viruses, trojans and the utter desire to see the neighbor's wife in what Mother Nature dressed her at birth... Note: Exim is NOT restricted to a Linux environment. In fact its developers advertise it as: "Exim is a message transfer agent (*MTA*) developed at the University of Cambridge for use on Unix systems connected to the Internet."
