I have two systems, one running RH 7.1 as base, the other RH 7.1 beta. Both are x86 SMP. The following Oops is from the RH 7.1 machine (non-beta) for kernel 2.4.5 (compiled with kgcc, no patches). Please note that both machines will fail to create a bootable floppy with make bzdisk; I have tried half a dozen separate floppies from separate boxes. Both will boot from floppy made through mkbootdisk. Both have scsi compiled directly in, and are not modules. Both use aic7xxx. The machine with Oops being reported on is being booted "noapic", since it is the i840 chipset (the other machine is BX chipset). The following bootup message excerpt should be accurate, but I had to type this whole thing in by hand, since the system dies. I went through a lot of effort to make sure there were no typo's, but there is still a very minor possibility of such. It isn't possible to list lspci -vv for the failed kernel, which is requested in the boot message at one point, so I have to do this through the RH stock 2.4.2 SMP kernel of RH 7.1.
