Is there a FAQ/README/HowTo about the LinuxPPC/Bitkeeper/Versionnumbering somewhere? Which ChangeSet or Tag stands for a stable PPC kernel? Which ChangeSet equals (with regard to functionality) the official linux-2.4.18 from kernel.org?
