Subject: HFS-Bug in 2.4.19
Date: Mon, 05 Aug 2002 11:20:27 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <3D4E435B.1EE20956@mailnet.de> (raw)

Hi,

here is my 4th report since about 2.4.8:

You can reproduce the bug in a few steps if you have a kernel with
modules support for hfs.

1. Take a well formated hfs-floppy and mount the floppy

2. cd to the floppy and make a directory b

3. rm -r b

4. You'll get the following error message:
rm: cannot remove directory `b/.finderinfo': Operation not permitted
rm: cannot remove directory `b/.resource': Operation not permitted

5.You'll get a segmentation fault and an uninterruptible sleep for the
mount PID. You cannot use or unmount the drive again.

Regards

Wolfgang Pichler
