Subject: Newbie looking to try latest ACPI support...
Date: Sat, 07 Dec 2002 09:50:28 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <3DF20AB4.3020205@gulik.org> (raw)
I recently got a Toshiba Satellite 1115-S103 laptop which only has ACPI
power management. Obviously the drivers in RH 8.0 (kernel version
2.4.18-18.8) don't do anything useful.
I was hoping to try out a newer development driver but I'm not sure if
it's best to just try the acpi-20020918 for which 2.4.18 patches are
available, or should I not bother with those and go with the latest
drivers for 2.4.20, which obviously means upgrading to that kernel???
