cvs patch-o-matic

Hi.

In the netfilter extensions howto it says to check out 
netfilter/patch-o-matic and netfilter/userspace - the latter appears to 
be gone. Are there any more upto date instructions about?

I tried the cvs because last time I tried with the .tar.bz2s POM still 
expected to find a dir named userspace and renaming iptables didn't work 
for me, does anyone know what I should have done?

I am patching with IMQ first - maybe this affects things.

In the readme it says I should make dep before applying patches - does 
this mean I have to configure everything first, make dep then run POM 
then go back and configure again to get the new options and make dep again.
