FreeBT Alpha Release 1 has been released and is available for download
now. FreeBT is an open source Windows Bluetooth stack implementation
including the full source code for a USB Driver, HCI and ACL support.
The code is licensed under the terms of an Apache-like license, making
it available to both commercial and open-source projects alike.

You can also browse the contents of the distribution directly at
http://www.freebt.net/downloads/dist/unpacked
This release is a proof of concept for the FreeBT stack. It includes the
following:
- Windows XP/2000 Generic USB Bluetooth device driver
- HCI Abstration library
- MFC Test program
The current level of functionality is full HCI support and support for
ACL data transmission.
Comments and suggestions are welcomed, please post them in the
Suggestions forum at http://www.freebt.net/forums .
Contributions are also welcome, of course. A CVS server and web front
end will be added soon.
More documentation on building the sources will also be added soon.
