Using Java for Bluetooth programming is fine when doing it on a mobile
phone such as the Nokia 6600. A good site for some code samples is
http://www.benhui.net/bluetooth/index.html.

For server-side programming there is no defined standard for Java
Bluetooth (the JSR-82 standard is tied to the J2ME platform). There are
several projects that provide a Java stack, such as JBluez,
JavaBluetooth and Harald. Neither of these was suitable for my purposes
so I wrote the server-side code in C using Bluez.

Regards,
Martin
