I 'll see what I can do since I have a pretty similar card (Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1). Can you try changing the line: change = (ovol != nvol); to change = 1; in file aureon.c (in alsa-kernel directory) functions wm_dac_vol_put & wm_adc_vol_put (the first one should really be enough in your case). You could also try to see if the problem persists after unloading and reloading the snd-ice1724 module to avoid rebooting.
