Dave,

I plan to submit a 2.4 version of these patches along with the 2.6 
sparse cleanup stuff
so that both the codebases don't deviate too much, but it may be a 
couple of  weeks
from now. I am currently at an SCTP interop event and will be on 
vacation next week.
